Whole country want CBI probe in both SSR & Dishaa death cases: MPEJ

The members of the Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice in a statement issued here said that a common man cannot expect fair investigations or probe against politicians & high profile people in this corrupt political system. They said that the law that necessitates the approval of a Chief Minister for sending a case to CBI is totally wrong & unjust. In many cases in the past justice was not meted on to some victims as the Chief Ministers wanted to shield the offenders & so did not hand over the cases to CBI in many states of India including J&K state. In the recent high profile case of Shushant Rajput justice would never be done if the Chief Minister of Bihar had not been kind enough to recommend to the centre that the case be handed over to CBI. Had there been an ordinary person in place of Shushant Rajput, he would never get justice because neither his case could get so multi-public support nor the recommendation of a Chief Minister. So in future a law should be enacted that the recommendation of a Chief Minister should not be a necessary step. They have appealed to all the political parties not to play politics over Shushant Rajput’s death case & handover the case to CBI as appealed by his family members & crores of the people of country. They said that what the problem is if a CBI inquiry does take place in Shushant Rajput’s death case. In order to remove the confusion, we feel that the Maharastra state government must handover this case to a central agency-the CBI so that all of the issues would be laid to rest and the matter would no longer be politicized & the family members of Shushant Rajput can also get justice. They also demanded re-investigation by CBI in the suicide case of Disha, the Manager of Late Shushant Rajput.

     They said that there should be a fair & time bound speedy investigation of such types of  alleged suicide cases by two investing agencies ,state as well as centre & and also speedy trial in such cases. There are many loop holes in it which the general public of the country want to be investigated by CBI. Many times it has happened that some persons declared as offenders by the local police have been found innocent by the CBI. The case of School Bus conductor Ashok in the Gurgaon murder case of a School boy is a glaring example. After CBI probe he was proved innocent beyond doubt. They further said that if the family & the people of the country are demanding CBI enquiry what harm in their request. Why government is not interested in handing over the case to CBI, they questioned.

         All traditional Political parties are one and the same share holders in such cases in the country so the fair, time bound investigation & speedy trial & punishment to the culprit are not possible. The need of the hour is Judicial & Electoral reforms in Parliament, but is not possible in this corrupt political system where 43% MPs’ of different Political Parties are of criminal background.  They further said that there is big list of Bureaucrats, Ministers, Politicians and others who are involved in many heinous acts and there is no provision to punish them. In our country culprits are being shielded because they are functionaries of one or the other party. The statements of some public servants at the top level regarding rapists that we cannot hang the culprits but compensate it is perhaps the reflection of the same. Does compensation mean that one’s life and honour can be restored and does it mean that such misdeeds can checked, we do not think so, it will mean that rich can do anything at the force of his wealth and poor man’s life and honour is always at stake.  They said that it was only the nationwide public outcry, in 2012 following the December 16 gang rape and murder in Delhi, led to the passing of the criminal law (Amendment) Act in 2013 which widened the definition of rape and made punishment more stringent but not time bound & only than on January 7, 2020, Delhi Court issued death warrant for four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape & murder case after 7 years.
