Vaccination among students, staff in schools to be given as per national policy: Advisor Bhatnagar
Srinagar: Amid rumors of closing the schools in Kashmir in view of rise in Covid cases, the J&K government on Monday clarified that there was no such plan or proposal and that the educational institutions were functioning smoothly across the region.Top officials of the School Education Department told that the schools are functioning normally and all precautions and recommended Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were being followed properly.The official further said, “The schools reopened after a long time and it is a good opportunity for students to compensate the losses. However, some vested elements are trying to create confusion among the parents by hatching the false rumors.”Meanwhile, the advisor to lieutenant governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar told that the vaccination doses among the students and staff will be given as per the national policy.“We are following the national policy for deciding as to when the students and staff in Jammu and Kashmir will be given COVID-19 vaccination doses,” he said.
