Two militants Killed in Kulgam encounter

Two militants have been killed in an encounter that broke between government forces and militants in the Zadoora Nipora area Kulgam district on Saturday morning.

Reports said that two militants have been killed in an exchange of fire while as operation is on in the area.

According to sources a joint team of Police, army’s 19 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation based on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

An official said that the identification of the militants is being ascertained.

Meanwhile, authorities have suspended internet services in the area as a precautionary measure.
