Two dead, 11 injured after passenger bus overturns in Langate Kupwara
At least two people died and eleven others were injured when the bus they were travelling on overturned at Langate chowk in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a mini passenger bus (registration number JK09A 1220) overturned at main chowk Langate today afternoon, killing three people and several injured.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where from six injured were referred to district hospital Handwara for specialized treatment.
“Six among the injured were referred to the district hospital Handwara for specialized treatment. However, one among the injured succumbed there,” said Block Medical officer Langate Nazir Ahmad.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Sultan (40) son of Khazar Mohammad resident of Panditpora Langate and Sajad Lone, son of Bashir Lone (40).
