Tral: Wildlife team captures bear in Kuchmulla village

Tral, 15 Nov: Continuing its rescue operations in Tral sub- district, a wildlife team in Kuchmulla village of Tral captured a bear from an orchard on Monday.
An official of wildlife told Arising State that following information about the presence of bear in an orchard at Kuchmulla area, the wildlife team from Khangund range installed a cage some days back.
He said , “today morning, they came to know that the bear has been trapped in cage, following which a team of wildlife rushed to the spot, to launch rescue operation.”
The trapped bear was being rescued to suitable habitat by the officials, when this report was filed in.
Earlier, wildlife teams have captured bears from Saimoh and Hurdumir areas of Tral, and rescued them from residential areas to suitable habitat.
The officials said that they will continue their rescue operations of bears from residential areas of Tral sub district.
Meanwhile, the casual labourers in wildlife department, who always take part in rescue operations, have demanded that their grievances should be redressed.
