Tral: Water scarcity hits Bonn-Mohalla residents, locals stage protest

Tral, 8 June: The residents of Bonn Mohalla in Tral area of South Kashmir on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against Jal Shakti (PHE) department for failing to provide them with water facility.

The aggrieved residents assembled on Tral-Dadasara road and raised anti-PHE slogans, saying that they “have been facing water crisis for around fifteen days, with authorities failed to pay heed to the grievances of people.”

They further said that they move here and there in search of water, ‘but nothing has been done’

The protesting residents requested higher ups to look into the matter at the earliest.

When reached to the officials of Jal Shakti department for official version, they were clueless and said that they will look into the matter.
