Tral, 27 Dec: After winning the DDC elections from the Tral block of Pulwama, People’s democratic party (PDP) leader and spokesman, Dr. Harbakhash Singh thanked all the voters and his party for trusting him in the whole election process.

In an exclusive interview with the Special Correspondent of Arising State on Saturday, Singh said that “people of Tral proved that they are secular and have maintained decades-old communal harmony” by choosing him as the DDC candidate.”

He said that his win was a ‘befitting reply’ to those who ‘spread hatred’ with the narrative that people in minority communities get no support here.

“I am very thankful to my voters and party for their support. People of Tral are secular and have always supported minority communities, which is the reason that I won the elections with a big margin,” Singh said.

In a reply to a question as to what will be his priorities during his tenure, Dr. Harbakash Singh said that he will serve his people to the  best of his capacity.

He said that all the pending developmental projects will be taken into consideration, and work shall accordingly be started, after staying in touch with village-level committees of all the villages & communities.

He added that he will be submitting the ‘work done report’ after every six months to show the performance to the people.

It’s pertinent to mention here that Harbaksh Singh belongs Koil Shikargah village of Tral in South Kashmir, who won the DDC elections from Tral block with 982 votes.
