Tral: Anti-encroachment drive held in Dadasara block

Tral, 12 November: With the motive to create space for a playground and some government offices, an anti-encroachment drive was held in Tral sub division of South Kashmir on Thursday.

On the directions of DC Pulwama, Dr. Raghav Langer, administration in the Dadasara block of Tral started an anti-encroachment drive today, and cut down many trees of state land.

The drive was held under the supervision of Block Development Officer, Dadasara, Sakib Murtaza, and Tehsildar Tral, Sajad Ahmad.

On that occasion, BDO Dadasara, Sakib Murtaza has said that the drive was launched to free up the space for the stadium, BDO and BDC chairman’s office.

He further said that it was a long pending demand of locals of around six villages, which is being fulfilled.

The official added that 20 kanals of land, out of 111, are being freed from encroachment till further orders.

He appealed people to cooperate with the administration so that developmental projects for the welfare of people may be taken comfortably.
