Tral: 100KV transformer catches fire in Nowdal village, hits supply to Kirmani Mohalla

Tral, 12 Feb: Power supply was disrupted in Kirmani Mohalla of Nowdal village in Tral area of South Kashmir after a 100KV transformer caught fire on Friday evening.
According to the witnesses, the local transformer of Kirmani Mohalla in Nowdal village caught fire suddenly, creating panic among villagers.
They said that they immediately informed power department officials about the incident.
A group of locals, however, rued that authorities had earlier assured of improvement and up-gradation of electric infrastructure, ‘but nothing has been done’ so far.
They demanded immediate intervention of concerned officials into the matter.
Meanwhile, ADC Tral, SA Raina told Arising State that he will ‘look’ into the matter and will ‘share’ the details accordingly.
