Three civilians among Five killed in cross border shelling in Uri
Five persons including Three civilians were killed in north Kashmir’s Uri after armies of India and Pakistan exchange massive shelling, officials said on Friday.
Reports said that two Army men and three civilians including a lady were killed during the heavy exchange of fire in Uri area of Baramulla district.
Reports said soon the noise of loud bangs spread in the area, a panic gripped in the area and residents started to move to safer places.
An official confirmed the killing of Five persons – three civilians & two army men – adding another local resident has got critically injured in the shelling and has been shifted to hospital for advanced treatment.
Reports further suggest that the other one is critically injured and shifted to a nearby hospital.
The exchange of firing from both sides was going on when this report was filed.
