Ten employees of PHE division Bijbehara Suspended by SDM

At least ten employees of Public Health Engineering (PHE )division Bijbhera were suspended by Sub Divisional  Magistrate (SDM)on Wednesday after being found absent from their respective duties.

Earlier, a protest was held at PHE division Bijbehara during which the residents of Bijbehara, Sultanpora, Nail, Arwani and Jablipora demanded an adequate water supply to them.

The SDM Bijbehara however rushed to the spot to pacify the villagers by assuring them an action against erring employees and redressal of their genuine demands.

Meanwhile, the attendance of all the employees was checked.

According to reports, ten employees were found absent from their duties who were suspended by the SDM Bijbehara.

The Executive Engineer as per reports  was also found absent from the duty.

SDM while talking to a local news agency said that ten employees including Head Assistants, junior Assistants and others were suspended following a complaint that employees remain absent from duties.

Meanwhile, people of the area appreciated the action initiated against the officials.
