Students quarantined at Old Airport Srinagar appeals for further Covid-19 check
Several students quarantined in old Airport Srinagar on Wednesday complained that their further investigations have not been done despite passing twelve days. They appealed to the administration to ensure their Covid-19 tests so that they can walk to their respective homes.
According to reports eight students who came from Kirgizstan (Russian) on June 26, 2020, were taken into preventive quarantine from Srinagar International Airport.
Soon after they were quarantined at Old Airport Srinagar, authorities failed to get their further swab samples to check whether they have recuperated or still infected.
Talking over the phone, quarantined students said that they have to apply for online exams but the administration is not furthering their tests.
“Despite the passing of 12 days, we are in a state of uncertainty, Our education has also suffered the worst hit. We have to apply for the examination online, but it seems impossible as authorities are not paying heed to our pleas” students added.
They appealed authorities to look into the matter so that they will not suffer further and can go home. (KNS)
