Srinagar-Leh road opens for one way traffic after 4 days
The traffic movement on the 434 km long Srinagar-Leh highway which was suspended last Saturday after fresh snowfall at Zojila Pass, was restored today morning.
An official told a news agency that the road was opened for one-way traffic from Leh-Srinagar on Wednesday morning.
He requested people before starting the journey contact officials and control rooms.
Due to snowfall authorities closed the Srinagar-Leh road, which passes through Zojila pass and connects Jammu and Kashmir with Ladakh union territory, for traffic.
“The road was closed for traffic as a precautionary measure in the wake of snowfall,” the officials said
