Srinagar District Holds First Randomization of Polling Staff for 2024 Legislative Assembly Elections
Srinagar, Sep 03: In preparation for the upcoming General Elections to the Legislative Assembly-2024, the first round of Randomization for Polling Staff deployment was conducted today at the DC Office Complex, Srinagar. The process, held in the Conference Hall, involved the selection of staff for 932 Polling Stations across all eight Assembly Constituencies within the district.
The Randomization was overseen by District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, in the presence of relevant officials. The procedure was carried out using specialized software in line with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, ensuring fairness and impartiality in the selection process.
A database of 12,900 employees was randomized, with approximately 55% designated as reserve staff to address any unforeseen contingencies.
Deputy District Election Officer Srinagar, Mir Imtiyaz ul Aziz, along with Nodal Officer IT/ETPBS, Syed Mujadid, and other concerned officials, were present during the Randomization process.
