South Kashmir: Gunfight rages in Kulgam Village

Srinagar, January 03: Encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Adigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Reports say that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Adigam.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering a gunfight.

A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about the exchange of firing between militants and security forces.(GNS)
