Shakeel Bakhshi survives an attack
Senior separatist leader and the founder of the Islamic Students League Shakeel Bakshi escaped a bid on life after some unknown persons fired upon him inside his residence at Bemina area of Srinagar on Wednesday late evening.
Family sources said that unknown gunmen on late last night entered Bakshi’s residence at Bemina area and opened fire at him.
They said that assailants missed the target and Bakhshi managed to escape unhurt. “Bakshi suffered minor injuries due to fall following the incident,” said family sources.
A top police official also confirmed it and said that Bakhshi managed to escape unhurt.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations were taken up,” he said.
