Search operation underway in Sopore village, Internet suspended
Security forces on Thursday launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Usmanabad mohalla of Warpora in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said a team of Army’s 22 RR, Special Operations Group of Police (SOG) and CRPF were jointly conducted searches in the area.
He said that the CASO was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Mobile Internet service was also suspended in the area. Door-to-door searches were on when this report was being filed.
