Samba police arrests bootlegger with illicit liquor
Continuing its drive against the menace of illicit trade of liquor, District Police Samba arrested a bootlegger and recovered 25 bottles of illicit
liquor in the jurisdiction of P/S Samba. Acting on a tip-off, a Police Party of P/S Samba laid a special Naka at Shah Balode, Samba, and intercepted a motorcycle bearing Regd. No. JK08D-9166 which was moving towards Nud.
While checking, a total of 25 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 375 ml each were recovered. The accused person identified as Munna Singh S/o Mehandi Singh R/O Sarna, Samba who was carrying the illicit liquor trade in the area for his illegitimate profit has been arrested on spot and illicit liquor was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 205/2020 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act registered at P/S Samba and investigation started.
