Russia accuses US and Israel of ‘trying to drag’ Arab countries into war

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has accused Washington and Tel Aviv of “trying to drag” Arab nations into war with their strikes on Iran, as it said there were no signs of de-escalation in the conflict.

“They deliberately provoked Iran into retaliatory strikes against targets in some ‌Arab countries, which led to human and material losses, which the Russian side deeply regrets,” the ministry said in a statement.

“In doing so, ⁠[the US and Israel] ⁠are trying to drag the Arabs into a war for someone else’s interests.”

The ministry said the only path to further destabilisation was to stop the attacks on Iran, but there were no signs for now of this happening. ( ( Al Jazeera)
