Rural Development Department Bijbehara violates Govt.norms, constructs bathroom on Banks of River Jehlum at Sangam, Anantnag

Anantnag,10 Nov: In an act of violation of govt.norms the Bijbehara Rural Development Department, has allegedly constructed a bathroom set on the banks of river Jhelum here at Sangam area of Bijbehara in Anantnag district.
According to Sources on one side the Anantnag Administration has banned construction of any building around 200 ft near the river Jehlum ,but on the other side the Rural Development Department Bijbehara has violated the government norms and constructed a bathroom set inside the 200ft near river Jehlum Bank at Sangam, Anantnag. This is a gross violation of the govt. norms committed by the Rural Development Bijbehara, sources said.
However, talking to Arising state BDO Bijbehara Talat Ahmad said that the work is going on the directions of Deputy commissioner Anantnag, adding that they are only the executive body to carry out the job.
The Arising State tried to contact the Exen Flood control Anantnag ,but he didn’t pick up our call.
Meanwhile, Arising state also tried to contact the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag but his number was constantly out of reach.
