RDD Emoloyees protest, demand reservation in posts advertised by the Department
Scores of employees of Rural Development Department (RDD) Tuesday held a protest demonstration here in Jehlum view park and demanded reservation in Accounts Assistant posts advertised by the department.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the Accountant-cum-Data Entry Operators held a protest and were demanding special reservations in newly created Account Assistants posts by the RDD department. The protesting employees said that they are working on the same post for long and instead of adjusting them on the said posts, their services are being ignored, which is sheer injustice.
They said that there are around 150 employees working in the department and the case is already sub judice. They alleged that the department is not following the guidelines of the court and are ruling out our services.
Meanwhile, Vice President of employees association Zameer Ahmad said that ‘it is really a grave concern that we are working on the same post and are having five years of experience despite that no relaxation is being given to us at this juncture”.
The protesting employees appealed higher authorities to intervene in the matter and provide them special reservation so that their future will be secured
