Tral, 2 February: The residents of Rathsuna village in South Kashmir’s Tral sub-district have been facing hardships in absence of a bridge over a local water stream.

Talking to Arising State, the aggrieved residents said that they have been facing immense hardships in absence of bridge over “Sochalwan Nallah”, which connects the Rathsuna village with Tral town.

One of the residents has said that construction of a bridge over the nallah, which is actually known as ‘Watal Ara’, can mitigate the difficulties being faced by the travellers, “as the way passes through the nallah is the nearest one, towards main town.”

The residents sought intervention of authorities into the matter and demanded construction of a bridge over the nallah.

District Development Council (DDC), member, Tral told Arising State that he has already written a letter to the concerned department, pertaining to the construction of bridge, connecting the Rathsuna areas with Tral.

Notably, the residents of Bhatnoor Bala in Tral have expressed resentment over the dilapidated condition of road in the area, and demanded macadamization.
