Rally Against Drug Abuse Held At Awantipora

Awantipora, 20 Dec: As a part of on-going anti-drug drive week (from 15th to 22nd December 2020), Awantipora Police on Sunday organized an awareness programme about “ill-effects of drug abuse on the society” at Police Station Awantipora.
As per the official, the said awareness programme was attended by the respectable from the Reshipora area of Awantipora, which is mostly narcotic affected.
SDPO Awantipora Ajaz Chowdary, SHO Awantipora Younis Khan, and Chowki Officer Reshipora had a detailed interaction with the public during the said awareness programme.
Soon after the interaction during the awareness programme at Police Station, a rally was organized by Police to generate awareness against drug abuse and its ill effects on society.
The rally was held from Police Station Awantipora to IUST crossing Awantipora headed by SDPO Awantipora.
On that occasion, the general public emphasized the role of Police and suggested conducting such seminars/rallies in the future also, to eradicate the drug menace.
