PM Narendra Modi must convene NIC meeting to sort out J&K crisis in national interest: Bhim
Jammu: The J&K National Panthers Party has urged the Prime Minister of India to convene an urgent meeting of National Integration Council (NIC) to work out a reasonable/democratic/acceptable resolution of the present crisis which has arisen following unmindful/unreasonable situation which has been created following different draconian Laws by the Govt. of India which have disturbed the national interest and the cooperation of the political parties in J&K. Even Instrument of Accession was not discussed by the Parliament on 5th August 2019.Prof.Bhim Singh in a strong appeal to the President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind, has urged to advise the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi to utilize the services of the nationalists, democratic and leadership of duly recognized political parties operating in J&K. Prof.Bhim Singh has described the role of some political parties with vested interests as unfortunate which does not suit the present situation in Jammu and Kashmir which has been hijacked by some political elements who are only trying to hunt power in the country by exploiting the unfortunate situation which has arisen because of several unacceptable, unreasonable and undemocratic steps by the BJP government. He also urged the President of India that this is very urgent to take the opinion of all recognized political parties in the country, both national and regional, as they understand the pulse of the general public from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gauhati to Dwarka.NPP Supremo described the present situation in Jammu and Kashmir as highly deplorable and sad. He said that the Parliament of India has nowhere, at any stage opposed the Instrument of Accession which Maharaja Hari Singh had signed on October 26, 1947. He further reminded the national leadership from all walks of life that it was Maharaja Hari Singh who had requested Govt. of India to send Indian Army to J&K to save the people of J&K from the illegal and unacceptable aggression from the Pakistan side on October 20, 1947. It was the leadership of the entire J&K which supported Maharaja Hari Singh to invite the Indian Army to defend J&K. Therefore, the Indian Army came to J&K on the request of Mahajara, and therefore it was Maharaja Hari Singh with the support of the entire leadership of J&K including National Conference leader Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah and others who supported the Instrument of Accession. Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah was appointed by the Maharaja as the Prime Minister of J&K on the intervention of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India. NPP Supremo said that it was the people of J&K including Ladakh who supported the Indian Army to save J&K from the invaders from the Pakistan side.
He said that all constitutional amendments made in the Instrument of Accession in J&K were supported and constitutionally approved by the elected Legislative Assembly of J&K including Ladakh. He described the present steps taken after August 5, 2019, by the BJP ruling government as undemocratic, unconstitutional, and do not go in the democratic interest of the residents of J&K who have gladly chosen to be citizens of Republic of India. The Indian Army is the most loved Army in J&K even today. He appealed to the President of India to direct the Prime Minister of India to hold an urgent meeting of the representatives of the recognized political parties in the interest of democracy, rule of law and lasting peace. He said that several Laws were forced on the citizens of India residing in J&K in utter violation of the democratic rules and the Instrument of Accession by Union of India.
He reminded the national leadership to sit together, share the views and the sentiments of the citizens of India in J&K as the principles in the Instrument of Accession were approved by the Constituent Assembly of India in 1950. Ignoring the citizens of India who have their living record as democratic, secular and nationalist has to be kept in mind before using the bulldozers against democratic norms and the history of the Accession with secular India.
