Reports said that a partial shutdown is being observed in the Kulgam township of South Kashmir.
While vehicular movement on the streets is thin, shops and other business establishments are shut in the township of the district.
In Anantnag and Shopian townships a partial Shutdown is being observed too. In the Zainapora belt of Shopian, shops and business establishments are shut, while traffic is majorly off the roads.
In Anantnag town, Shops are mostly shut while vehicular movement is also affected due to the shutdown.
Pertinently, Burhan Wani, the commander of Militant organization, Hizb ul Mujahideen was killed on this day in 2016 during an encounter in Bamdoora area of Kokernag in Anantnag district in South Kashmir.(Agencies)
