Paramedic students of Kupwara appeals DHSK to conduct exams for vacant posts
The paramedic students of border district Kupwara on Monday expressed strong anguish against DHSK for failing to conduct an examination for the post applicants had applied earlier.
A group of paramedics told Arising state over the phone that they had applied for various posts lying vacant in DHSK years back but despite passing of a long gap, no proceedings have been taken by the department so far.
“Despite after a year, DHSK has failed to conduct examinations for the said posts which left applicants disappointed”, students said.
They said the health department had earlier advertised several posts including a pharmacist, FMPHW, MMPHW, Lab technician, OT technician, GNM, etc for border district Kupwara but no further proceedings were taken so far.
They questioned the sluggish approach of DHSK and said one fails to understand why DHSK is delaying the process?
“Though other districts have taken proceedings to next level but only applicants of Kupwara are being ignored which left several applicants disappointed”, students said.
Students also expressed resentment over the inordinate delay in issuing registration certificates by GMC Srinagar. “We have applied for registration certificates in GMC Srinagar and had fulfilled all required formalities but despite passing a year, students are forced to unnecessary wait.
They appealed authorities to look into the matter and ensure early conduct of examination for the vacant posts.
When contacted CMO Kupwara, Dr. Kousar Jan, for the comment, she said I am presently in a meeting and can’t speak over the issue right now.
Meanwhile, a senior official of DHSK said that the exams were delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and assured the exams will be conducted soon.
