Anantnag,29 April: Despite a recent terror attack in Baisaran, Pahalgam, hundreds of tourists who came from different regions of India continue to throng and enjoy the natural beauty of Pahalgam.

Days after the devastating terror attack that claimed 27 tourist lives, including a local pony wala here in the Baisaran area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, the serene valley of Pahalgam is gradually returning to a sense of normalcy. Pahalgam has once again begun welcoming visitors. Hundreds of tourists who came from different regions of India continue to throng and enjoy the natural beauty of Pahalgam.

A group of visitors from Mumbai, while talking to the Arising State, expressed confidence in the region’s safety. They said that they were touched by the hospitality of the local residents. “The way they have been treating us, they have earned our trust,” visitors said.

Despite concerns, the visitors said that they will continue to visit the tourist spots in Jammu and Kashmir, and many are proceeding with their travel plans, including visits to Pahalgam.

A shopkeeper in Pahalgam, while talking to the Arising State, said that after experiencing a significant disruption in tourism following the April 22 terror attack in Baisaran, Pahalgam, the flow of tourists has returned again in Pahalgam. Tourists have started turning up to Pahalgam.

For the people of Pahalgam, every visiting tourist is a message of hope, a declaration that hate has not won. “We want the world to know that Kashmiris are known for their hospitality. Our hearts and homes are open for all tourists,” said a shopkeeper.”
