Old building of District Hospital (DH) Shopian gutted in fire incident

Pulwama: The old building of Shopian’s district hospital (DH) has been gutted in a fire incident, which occurred during the last night.

The fire, as per the sources, broke out during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, and it engulfed the whole the building.

Reports said that a team of fire and emergency reached the spot, soon after the incident happened, and managed to extinguish the fire, and controlled it from further spreading.

As per the official sources, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident, while “the patients who were admitted there, were shifted to new Hospital Building.”

However, the cause of the fire in the hospital building was not immediately known.
