National Investigation Agency Chief Visits Pahalgam

Pahalgam, May 1: National Investigation Agency (NIA) Director General Sadanand Date visited Pahalgam in South Kashmir on Thursday, marking the start of the agency’s investigation into the recent deadly attack.

The NIA officially took over the case from the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday and has since begun its probe into the tragic incident that claimed the lives of 26 tourists.

Reports said that the Pahalgam attackers are highly self-reliant, reportedly carrying food supplies and other essential provisions with them, allowing them to operate in remote terrain for extended periods without external logistical support.

Reports added that NIA teams part of the investigation have already recorded statements of witnesses and tourists who survived this deadly attack. (CNS)
