Muzaffer Beigh Welcomes Jamat’s Decision to Contest J&K Elections

Srinagar, Aug 29 : Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffer Beigh has hailed the Jamat’s decision to participate in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir elections, describing it as a pivotal step towards healing the region’s wounds and fostering progress.”I warmly welcome the Jamat’s decision to contest the upcoming elections,” Beigh remarked. “This is a crucial and constructive move that will significantly aid in healing the social and political scars that the people of Jammu & Kashmir have endured in recent years.”

Beigh underscored the importance of democratic engagement in the pursuit of social and economic justice. “Active participation in the democratic process is essential for achieving social and economic justice. The Jamat has a notable legacy in J&K, particularly in the social, religious, and educational domains,” he added.

He further emphasized that the Jamat’s involvement would enhance the legitimacy of the democratic process and contribute positively to the peace and progress of the Union Territory. “Their participation not only lends greater legitimacy to the democratic process but also bodes well for peace and progress in the UT,” Beigh stated.

Expressing his support for the Jamat, Beigh pledged to advocate for lifting the ban on the organization. “I will use whatever influence I have to advocate for the ban on the Jamat to be lifted as soon as possible,” he concluded.(KNS)
