Mega PM KISAN events organized in Anantnag

Anantnag 26, Saturday: A mega event was organized, on Saturday, by Agriculture Department at Dak-Bungalow Khanabal Anantnag at the release of December 2020 to March 2021 installments to the beneficiary farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna. The DDC Anantnag Mr.K.K.Sidha, CAO (Nodal officer) PM-Kisan  Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Khan and other officers from agriculture and allied sectors, DDCs, BDCs, PRIs & a large number of farmers were present at the event.

On the occasion, CAO informed that an amount of Rs.16484000/= will be released under the PM-Kisan for 8442 beneficiaries of the district. The officers of the department informed the farming community about various schemes of the department like Mushroom cultivation, beekeeping units, KCC & Micro Food Processing Units under implementation in the district.

The officers from the Animal, Sheep, fisheries & allied sectors also apprised the farmers regarding various beneficiary schemes under which financial assistance and significant subsidies are provided to the farming community on the establishment of dairy, sheep, trout, fodder & cattle feed units.

DEPO Anantnag apprised the audience about Nasha Mukt Bharat/District and the cent percent enrolment drive being conducted in the district.

Many such events were also carried at agriculture sub divisions Achabal, Aishmuqam & Dooru, Agriculture & Horticulture Zones, and progressive agriculture villages of the district where concerned officers of Agriculture & Allied sectors informed the farmers about various income-generating schemes. The SDAOs of the concerned Agriculture zones, BDCs, DDCs, Panch, Sarpanches, and farmers in large numbers showed up at the events conducted by the dept.
