Pulwama,o6 January: Faheem Ul Islam,19, is one of the emerging authors from South Kashmir, who bagged many awards in the year 2020, for his outstanding contribution as an author.

A B.A. honors student of Aligarh Muslim University, Faheem belongs to Achan village of Pulwama district in Kashmir, who released his first ‘poetry’ book last year.

With a deep love for nature, the young Faheem “wants to uplift the Kashmir’s young generation, & has a desire to make a big change in the society.”

Recently, he was awarded the ‘Rashtra Prerna Award’ for being a young ,hard-working author & an outspoken speaker. He was also appreciated by Atma Nirbhar Bharat at National Conference 2020.

For receiving the awards, Faheem expressed pleasure and said that getting awards locally & nationally usually boost’s one’s morale, and helps in  the career building.

Titled ‘The Midnight Silence’ Faheem’s book was released at the beginning of 2020, which was published by Wular Publishing House, & talks about the glimpses of Kashmir valley, Youth, Hope & Nature.

Talking to the Arising State, Faheem said that the use of social media & the current scenario of Kashmir played an important role in finding a venue to hone my writing cravings.

He said that he has co-authored many other books in the past and is looking forward to write more books in the future.

Faheem’s book ‘The Midnight Silence’ is available online on different websites, and can also be found offline in different book stores of Kashmir.

It’s pertinent to mention here that young students are turning authors in Kashmir valley for the last few years, and have been inspiring others as well.With more exposure to the genre, many authors are slowly emerging and making valley proud of its young talent.
