MAYOR KICK STARTS VARIOUS DEVELOPMENT WORKS AND ALSO INAUGURATES REGISTRATION CAMPS FOR PMABY SCHEMES IN JAMMU CITY

Jammu : Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 10/10/2020 conducted an extensive tour in the various parts of the Jammu City and kickstarted construction work of deep drains at Susheel Nagar & its adjoining areas (Gole Talab Tillo) of ward No: 32, Sh. Sat Pal Karlupia concerned Councillor, Sh. Lavkesh Gondi Distt Incharge I.T Cell BJP, Sh. Keshav Chopra Talab Tillo Mandal President, Sh. Upkar Singh, Sh. Satish Salaria, Sh. Arun Dubey, Sh. Rajesh Saini, Madam Reena Gupta, Madam Sunita Koul and other Prominent inhabitants of the ward were also present there. Sh. Arun Gupta Executive Engineer, Sh. B.K. Raina Junior Engineer of Engineering Division- II, Supervisory Staff of Health Section also accompanied the Mayor who told the gathering that this was the long pending demands of the locals which has now been fulfilled with the sincere efforts of Hon’ble Councilor Sh. Sat Pal Karlupia with an estimated cost of Rs. 17 Lakh only as the residents especially old persons & school going children were facing great hardships while passing through the area due to non existence of pacca drains.

Mayor alongwith Madam Rekha Manhas Councilor of ward no: 62 also kick started the construction Work of deep drains at Raza Nagar (Chinore) of the said ward. Sh. Ashwani Kumar Executive Engineer, Sh. Deep Kumar Khajuria Assistant Executive Engineer, Sh. Rakesh Kumar Junior Engineer of Division – III, other field Staff of various sections of JMC as well as prominent inhabitants of the ward were also remained present there. Mayor said that an amount of Rs. 9.68 Lakh has been sanctioned for this development work. Locals thanked the Mayor for visiting their locality and put forth other demands such as lifting of stray dogs / animals from their locality on routine basis, deployment of more SKC’s for better sanitation, rectification / installation of LED Street Lights in the left over areas, renovation of remaining lanes / drains etc. Mayor assured them that all their issues will be taken up on priority basis. He directed the concerned Engineering Wing to complete the work within stipulated time period by applying best quality & durable Material & upto the satisfaction of the locals & concerned Councillor.

Later Mayor also paid visit of ward no: 66 with Madam Tripta Devi Councillor & inaugurated registration camp for Golden Cards under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PMABY) at Buta Nagar, Jammu. The Sh. Suresh Khajuria Mandal Pradhan, Sh. Tara Chand Vice President Mandal Raipur Domana and other prominent inhabitants of the Locality were also present there.

Besides this, he also inaugurated another PMABY Camp at shopping centre Bakshi Nagar area of Ward No: 27 being organized by Sardar Hardev Singh Ward President BJP, and Sardar Charanjeet Singh Active Member of the ward. A large number of locals participated in the camp & got themselves & their family members registered under this prestigious Medical Scheme. While interacting with the people during both these camps here today, the Mayor said that Ayushman Bharat Scheme is a revolutionary decision taken by the Government of India in large interest of poor & needy people of the country. He further said that Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi has launched this scheme which is not only providing insurance cover to the people but also giving them sense of security as lakhs of beneficiaries have got themselves registered under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Ayushman Bharat and are seeking its benefits. He added that people who until were left to fend for themselves have been provided with health insurance coverage of Rs. 5 Lakh per family annually.
