Major Administrative Reshuffle in J&K: Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma Appointed as Financial Commissioner Tourism
Srinagar, July 12: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday issued transfer and posting orders of several IAS officers in the interest of administration. The copy of the order (No. 895-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated 12.07.2025) lies with Arising State.
As per the order issued by the General Administration Department:

Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, IAS (AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting orders of posting, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department. He will also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, till further orders.

Sh. Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT:1995), Principal Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department, with additional charge of the Mining Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department. He will continue to hold the additional charge of the Mining Department.

Ms. Yasha Mudgal, IAS (AGMUT:2007), Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department.

Sh. Sarmad Hafeez, IAS (AGMUT:2009), Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary, Social Welfare Department.

Sh. Talat Parvez Rohella, IAS (AGMUT:2010), Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring, has been appointed as Chairman, Bureau of Public Enterprises, J&K.

Sh. Bhupinder Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:2011), Secretary, Public Works (R&B), who also held multiple additional charges, has now been posted as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi. He will continue to hold additional charges of Administrative Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol Department and Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration for J&K and Ladakh.

Sh. Ananth Dwivedi, IAS (AGMUT:2021), CEO, State Health Agency, J&K, and Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, will also serve as Additional Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, in addition to his current responsibilities. These transfers are effective immediately.
