LG ignores conspiracy for reappointment of overage lady as Chairperson JKBOSE: JYF
Jammu: Common saying that it is easy to awaken a sleeping person and not the one posing to be sleeping befits well on the LG Governance under whose nose an over aged lady has been appointed once again trashing all the norms/rules fixed in black and white for the selection and appointment of Chairman, JK Board of School Education. Addressing a press conference here today Ajaz Khan President Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) said that breaking all the records of nepotism and favoritism, the Department of Higher Education, Civil Secretariat went ahead to reappoint Prof Veena Pandita as Chairperson out of the way, probably without appraising the office of Lt Governor about the advertisement notice issued by the concerned Department inviting applications for the selection and appointment of Chairman, JK BOSE, he clamored, adding that the Search Committee framed by General Administration Department for suggesting panel of suitable persons for the important job related to students fraternity was unfortunately made redundant by Higher Education Department itself to adjust blue-eyed lady.Ajaz Khan pointed out that initially before giving charge to Prof Veena Pandita of the post of Chairperson, she was working as Secretary JK Bose, he said adding that her charge was earlier also converted into her appointment as Chairperson clandestinely without following any norms of selection process, which was a clear cut case of favourtism or some other extraneous reason, he added.Ajaz Khan questioned the sagacity of LG Administration as to how a person being over aged has been reappointed as Chairperson when Advisor K. K. Sharma and Asgar Samoon, Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department fixed 57 years age for eligibility in advertisement notice for the appointment as Chairman of JKBOSE. He asked that if she was to be favoured via back door entry for this job infringing rules and regulations, what was necessity of issuing advertisement notice and constituting Search Committee for the selection and appointment of Chairman of JK BOSE.
Isn’t it an act of hoodwinking the public and putting dust in the eyes of well-educated fraternity, who aspired for jumping into this covetous competition on the strength of their capability, experience, and qualifications, Ajaz Khan asked the Lt Governor, JK UT, adding that if such a rotten state of affairs is allowed to function in Union Territory for making an appointment on high profile position like Chairman, JK Bose, what shall be the fate of other posts recently advertised or to be advertised by Service Selection Board and other recruiting agencies of UT government, he questioned. Ajaz Khan appealed the Lt Governor to come out of slumber and take notice of gross irregularity committed by the Higher Education Department befooling the general aspirants for the job. Ajaz Khan sought a probe by CBI to find out the reasons for out of way reappointment of Prof Veena Pandita as Chairperson and also to unearth any under hands deal took place in this behalf if any. Among those who were present in the press-conference included, Rahil Malik, Sachine Gupta, Deepak Kumar, Sunil Sharma, and Anil Sharma.
