Ladli beti scheme: Applicants whine about Tehsil office Anantnag

Wednesday,  several applicants who have applied for the Ladli beti scheme for verification here in Tehsil office Anantnag  alleged that the officials in Tehsil office Anantnag are causing problems to the applicants as their Ladli beti files are pending from the last 4 months in office.

According to applicants, four months back they have submitted their Ladli beti files for verification in Tehsil office Anantnag, but till date the officials in Tehsil office Anantnag haven’t bothered to approve their files resulting in the suffering of applicants.

Talking to Arising state an applicant Prince Ahmad said ,’I have filed my daughter’s Ladli beti file, four months back, for verification at Tehsil office Anantnag, but till date the officials in Tehsil office Anantnag haven’t bothered to approve that file. I have visited many times Tehsil office Anantnag for the file, but I was returned empty hands.’

Pertinently, Prince is a labourer by profession.

Official sources while speaking to the Arising state said the NT naib Tehsildar in Tehsil office Anantnag did not approve files of applicants and asked patwaris to re-verify the files after they verified them once, he said that several Ladli beti files of applicants have remained pending in Tehsil office Anantnag, causing lot of problems for applicants.

Furthermore, several concern patwaris have re-verified the files of applicants, and the Naib Tehsildar Anantnag did not sign the file even after twice verification, he said.

”Anantnag Deputy Commissioner Anantnag is urged to look into the matter and direct the concerned Naib Tehsildar to act quickly so that no problems arise”, requested the applicants.

In the meantime, Arising state tried contacting Tehsildar Anantnag but he didn’t pick up the phone.
