Kupwara Police arrests one notorious Drug Peddler 

Kupwara, 08 June :Continuing its war against Drug menance Police party of PS Karnah established a Naka in Yariban hajitra Taad area of Karnah.

During checking the Naka party intercepted a person in a suspicious condition. The party apprehended the said person who disclosed his Identity as Naseer Ahmad Sheikh S/o Mohammad Ismail Sheikh R/o Hajitra.

During his personal search 02 Packets of Heroin weighing about 2 Kgs * was recovered from his possession.Accordingly legal action has been taken and case *FIR No. 61/21 u/s 8/21 NDPS act has been registered in Police Station Karnah against the accused person, and investigation has taken up. The war against these Drug Peddlers will continue and those found involved in these acts will be strictly taken under law.

This act is hugely hailed by general public of the area. Kupwara Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding Drug Peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.
