Anantnag,08,June: The students of Government Degree College Kokernag on Tuesday  alleged that college authorities are not paying any heed to their repeated requests about conducting of  online classes.

Talking to Arising state, the students of final year alleged that they have requested several times to college authorities to conduct their regular classes through online mode . Students said that they haven’t studied anything in final year due to ongoing pandemic and our exams will be held in August- September. They said that after clearing their third year they have to appear in university entrance test  for their post grad ,but in present circumstances its almost impossible to clear the test, as they have not had classes in final year.

A student wishing anonymity said  that neither they  have attended any online classes in 5th semester nor  in sixth semester. ”Our studies have been badly affected throughout the pandemic, since their exams are nearing college authorities must conduct their online classes before August ,said the student.”

The protesting students said , ”when all colleges in Anantnag district are teaching students through online mode then why  GDC kokernag is being neglected.”  Students said that the college authorities had issued a time table last month for online classes ,but till date neither  they received any code or  message from authorities ,they said.

Meanwhile, Arising state tried to contact the Principal Degree College kokernag ,but his number was switched off.
