Kashmiri patients receive leech therapy from practitioner in Srinagar on eve of Nauroz

Every year traditional health workers in Kashmir use leeches to treat people suffering from skin diseases, arthritis, chronic headaches and sinusitis on Nowruz, which marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar.
