Karra launches “Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq” movement in Kashmir
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) will be holding meetings of block presidents of three Lok Sabha segments of Kashmir region, subsequently the Party will also be holding district level conventions under the slogan Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq shortly to reiterate Congress Party’s strong urge for restoration of complete statehood to J&K.The first phase of district level conventions mission Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq has already been completed in Jammu region.
JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra disclosed this after chairing a separate meeting of District Presidents and prominent party workers from different districts at Srinagar Party headquarters today in which he (Karra) received feedback with regard to ongoing organizational affairs and activities in Kashmir while stressing the need to further rejuvenate the party in every block.
Addressing the meeting JKPCC President told the District Presidents and Party workers to gear up for the upcoming district level political conventions which will send a strong signal to BJP Govt at Centre that its diversionary tactics from the real issues concerning J&K will not be accepted. The deliberate delay in restoration of Statehood will no longer work, Centre has to take urgent measures to restore statehood to J&K which has been snatched by a stroke of pen, Karra added and questioned JKBJP to clear its stand whether they are in favour of restoration of Statehood or not ?The dual control of J&K has immensely contributed to chaos leading to the disconnect and non-representation of people both at political as well as administrative level, which is apparently visible on the ground while slamming Centre Govt for running away from the promises it has made on the floor of Parliament to people of J&K. Congress won’t remain silent, we will continue to fight vigorously for the Statehood and safeguarding rights of our people, who have suffered enormously on all fronts due to the policies of BJP, JKPCC President rued.
