BASHARAT RASHID
Tral, 8 Nov: The residents of Kangloora village in the Tral sub-district of South Kashmir have expressed resentment against the authorities over the pathetic condition of the main road in the village.
On Sunday morning, a group of locals, assembled, on the roadside, near Gurudwara, and said that their genuine demand from the years, is to repair the Kahlil-Doodhmarg road, via Kangloora village.
They said that they approached higher authorities on the issue but they keep passing the buck. One of the residents said,” they pleaded before them to patch the broken parts or fill the pits on the road and its macadamization, but all in vain ”.
One of the locals told Arising State that “road is riddled with potholes, on each and every portion, giving tough time to the residents, particularly in the winters.
He said that local sumo drivers usually refuse to drive on this bumpy road at the time of snowfall here.
Another resident has said that all the roads were repaired and blacktopped this year but, ” Lalpora-Doodhmarg road was sidelined, due to which locals suffer”.
The residents demanded immediate repair on the road, so that they may not suffer more in the future.
Similarly, the residents of Nagapthri, Wazilkulnad, Ourigund, and Zajikhowed villages have lamented that a curve on Nagapthri road is day by day turning dangerous, “as it was not renovated despite several reminders”
A local, Nazir Ahmad, told Arising State that they visited pillar to post, to demand the renovation of this risky curve, “however no one comes here to look after the condition of it”
They demanded intervention of higher ups into the matter as early as possible.
