J&KJKAP wins chairperson, vice-chairperson posts in Srinagar
The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party has won both the chairperson and vice-chairperson posts of Srinagar district development council on Saturday after a meeting of the newly elected members was called to elect the chairperson and vice-chairperson.
JKAP candidate Malik Aftab bagged 10 votes out of the total 14 votes while his rival candidate Kasier Ganai of JKNC polled just 3 votes.
One of the members was absent during the election meeting that was called today by the district election officer.
As per the details JKAP has also won the vice-chairperson post after its candidate Bilal Bhat secured 9 votes out of the total 14 votes against his rival candidate Manzoor Bhat of PDP who polled just 4 votes while one member was absent.
Pertinently, PAGD had fielded joint candidates for chairperson and vice-chairperson post against JKAP.
