J&K Man held with Fake currency in Anantnag
Anantnag 25 April: Jammu and Kashmir police in Anantnag arrested a man with fake currency amounting to 11000 at the main chowk khanabal area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Sources told that a team of police post-Khanabal spotted a man in suspicious conditions near degree college, man chowk khanabal and during searches, 55 fake Indian currency notes of 200 amounting over Rs. 11,000 were recovered from his procession.
The man was identified as Aqaar Ahmad Dar S/O Farooq Ahmad dar a resident of Batengoo village in Anantnag district.
In this regard, a case has been registered an FIR vide number 120/2021 under section 489-ABC at police post-Khanabal and the police are investigating the source of the FCIN and its distributors in the valley.
