J&K Govt Orders Adjustment, Posting of In-Charge Executive Engineers in PWD
Srinagar, October 24: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order posting 24 In-charge Executive Engineers (Civil) in the Public Works (R&B) Department across various divisions of the Union Territory.
As per Government Order No. 319-PW(R&B) of 2025 dated October 24, 2025, the transfers and postings have been made in the interest of administrative efficiency and smooth departmental functioning.
According to the order, Er. Firdous Ahmad Gratta has been posted in PMGSY Division Kupwara, Er. Karanjeet Singh-II in Public Works (R&B) Division Gandhi Nagar, and Er. Rajan Mengi in Public Works (R&B) Division Satwari. Er. Nisar Ahmad Sheikh has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Awantipora, while Er. Syed Izhar Ahmad will serve in DIQC Srinagar.
Er. Rajesh Kumar has been appointed Technical Officer to Chief Engineer, Public Works (R&B) Zone Chenab, and Er. Javid Hafiz Faktoo has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Sopore. Er. Basharat Ali has been designated Technical Officer to Chief Engineer, Public Works (R&B) Zone Pir Panjal.
Other postings include Er. Tilak Raj Rajwal in PMGSY Division Marwah, Er. Imran Ali in Public Works (R&B) Division Uri, and Er. Taha Ahmad Basu in Public Works (R&B) Project Division-II, Srinagar. Er. Afaq Ahmad Khan has been placed in J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA), while Er. Showkat Hussain Kawa will now serve at the University of Kashmir.
Er. Tanveer Ahmad Mattoo has been posted in Public Works (R&B) Division Sumbal, and Er. Arif Rehman Hazari in Public Works (R&B) Division Core, Srinagar. Er. Khalid Amin Qureshi has been assigned to PMGSY Division Poonch, Er. Mohd Younis Shah to Public Works (R&B) Division Baramulla, and Er. Amit Sharma to Public Works (R&B) Division Chatroo.
Er. Adil Mushtaq Rather has been posted in DIQC, Er. Sajad Hussain in Public Works (R&B) Division Beerwah, and Er. Shahnawaz Hussain Jan with the J&K Sports Council.
Further, Er. Jyotika Sambyal has been placed in Public Works (R&B) Division Vijaypur, Er. Gurjeet Singh in Public Works (R&B) Division Paddar, and Er. Wahid Hussain in the Police Housing Corporation, Kashmir.
The order also mentions that officers posted in districts under the Model Code of Conduct — particularly Jammu and Budgam — will join their new assignments once the restrictions are lifted.
The department stated that the postings are part of efforts to streamline operations and accelerate the pace of infrastructure development across Jammu and Kashmir.
