Jammu-Srinagar NH-44 Closed Due to Fresh Snowfall Near Navyug Tunnel
Jammu, Jan 27: The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been closed for traffic on Monday following fresh snowfall in and around the Navyug Tunnel, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, no vehicular movement is being allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar or vice versa. In addition, the Mughal Road, Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) Road and Sinthan Road are already closed due to adverse weather and road conditions.
Authorities have advised people not to travel on these routes until the roads are fully restored and declared safe for vehicular movement. Commuters have also been cautioned against believing rumours and urged to rely only on official traffic updates.
