IUST launched DEAR strategy for developing reading culture
Awantipora, August 22: Under the aegis of RUMI library, reading day was organized at IUST in order to inculcate reading habit among the students.
The programme was attended by students and was presided over by Dean Acadmic Affairs, Prof Manzoor Ahamd Malik, who encourage the students to read. He said that reading broadens our horizons and is enlightening.
Dr Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Librarian IUST said that reading nourishes our brain and leaves a profound impact on our personality.
Dean Outreach, Prof Lily Want also addressed the participants and encouraged participants to rekindle their connection with books.
The highlight of the event was a book exhibition held at Rumi Library, IUST. The participants were seen engrossed in exploring the curated collection of books.
