IUST conducts two-day ‘Induction Programme’ for Civil Engineering Students
Awantipora, Nov 19: The Department of Civil Engineering, IUST Awantipora conducted a Two‐Day Induction Programme for new entrant students of Civil Engineering on 17th and 18th of November.
To welcome the new batch of students and apprise them about the department and career prospects in this field, various sessions were held during the two day event.
On the occasion, Different experts and speakers enlightened the freshers and interacted with them.
The department also invited its accomplished alumni, who have made a mark in their respective fields to deliver insightful talks during these sessions.
Talks by eminent civil engineers Er. Iftikhar Ahmad Drabu and Er. Iftikhar Ahmad Kakroo (Chief Engineer Srinagar Smart City) were conducted, which were highly appreciated by the engineering students.
They enlightened the audience with the concept of civil engineering and imbibed them with passion in the pursuit of their goals.
The invited dignitaries were also felicitated by Dean Academic Affaors and Dean SOE&T Prof. A.H. Moon, who delivered the Welcome Address and shared his concluding remarks.
HOD Civil Engineering Dr. Shujaat Hussain, faculty members of the department also spoke during the orientation programme, which was highly interactive and enagaging.
