IUST Awantipora observes World Television Day

Awantipora: Islamic University of Science & Technology in Awantipora on Sunday observed World Television Day through online mode.
In honor of World Television Day, the event was organised by the department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Islamic University, on the directions of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Romshoo.
The online session was started at 11:00 AM in the morning, and was concluded at 12:30 PM, which was attended by a large number of students, staff members and journalists.
The aim of the event was to make students aware about the importance of television, and its overall role in the development of society in present era.
Development Communication Expert, Prof. Arbind Sinha was the main speaker in the session, who threw light on the different aspects of television technologies and other topical issues.
On the occasion, the participants raised some questions related to the theme, which were answered by the experts.
Media Advisor to Vice Chancellor, Dr. Monisa Qadiri hosted the programme, while Head of the department DJMC, Prof. Mujeeb Liyaqat held introductory session by welcoming the guests/students, and giving them precious knowledge about the history of television.
