Inter-departmental Football Tournament 2021 concludes at IUST

Awantipora: Department of Computer Science & Engineering won the Interdepartmental Football Tournament 2021 by defeating Department of Electrical Engineering by 4-3 in a penalty shootout.

The tournament was organized by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and was held on the University football ground. The matches were witnessed by a large gathering of students and faculty members.

During the presentation ceremony, Registrar IUST, Prof. Naseer Iqbal who was also the Chief Guest on this occasion congratulated both the teams for their performance.

Prof. Naseer Iqbal also appreciated the efforts of Assistant Director, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports IUST, Dr. Hilal Rather and his team in organizing a successful tournament for the students of the varsity.

Dr. Hilal Rather assured that such tournaments will be organised on regular basis for both boys and girls where they can learn the sporting skills and be able to represent the university at state and national level.

During the tournament, Mr. Altaf Hussain Shah and Mr. Majid Nazir Mukhdoomi from the Directorate were the match referees.
