India will respond firmly, no terrorist will be spared: PM Modi
He said no terrorist will be spared and India will respond firmly to every attack, as demonstrated by Operation Sindoor.
Speaking in Ariyalur during the valedictory ceremony of the Aadi Thiruvathirai Festival, Modi said the operation marked a shift in how the country handles security matters.
The military action began on May 7, following the attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people.
PM Modi said the operation had influenced the national mood and strengthened public confidence. He said that when India’s security is targeted, there will be a direct and clear response.
According to him, Operation Sindoor showed that those who plan or carry out attacks against India cannot find shelter anywhere.
The Prime Minister linked the current approach to security with earlier periods of Indian history.
Referring to the Chola Empire, he said that building a strong nation requires lessons from the past. Modi said that India, while focusing on development, also looks to its heritage.(KNS)
